US Report Calls on Israel to Begin Nuclear Disarmament

PUB629.pdf published by the US Army War College, commissioned and partially funded by the Pentagon, argues that Iran’s nuclear weapon development cannot be stopped by any current military or diplomatic options.

Perhaps because the US hasn’t offered any evidence supporting their claim? Kinda like the Iraq thingy, only with an -n at the end.

VENEZUELA: Evidence of US involvement in bombing

A key witness in the trial of those charged over the assassination of Venezuelan state prosecutor Danilo Anderson has identified FBI and CIA agents as being involved in planning his death. Anderson, who was killed by a car bomb on November 18 last year, was leading the investigation into the participants of the April 2002 military coup that briefly overthrew the democratically elected left-wing President Hugo Chavez.

Imagine my shock that the US may be planning/executing cover op missions against sovereign nations.

Israel warns against EU action

Israel said on Friday it hoped relations with the European Union would not worsen after EU diplomats’ criticised Israeli policies in Arab East Jerusalem as harmful to prospects for peace with the Palestinians. A spokeswoman for EU foreign policy chief Javier Solana said the report was not a final document. “It would surely be a pity if this positive momentum would stop and we would see a regression to the one sided (European) position of the past,” said Israeli Foreign Ministry spokesman Mark Regev. reuters

While Israel continues to defy UN resolution (one of many) regarding Jerusalem. I’m surprised they didn’t call EU nazi loving communists (or as they like to say - antisemite).

Born at the Crest of the Empire: Where is Scott McClellan?

I’ve said before that whatever they’re paying Scott, it can’t be enough. He could be hanging his coat, but let’s wait, perhaps he’s just visiting someone in dire need. :D

I’m starting to like this ThinkProgress. It also shows how some of the “right tilting” blogs use “technicalities” and frettering out dubious and false information to get their way. Thou shall not lie?

Two people who were removed from a speech by President Bush in March have filed a federal lawsuit alleging they were ejected from the event in violation of their First Amendment rights.

And guess who is going to pay if they win.

Al Qaeda “The Database”

This is a short article that shows another point. Can’t verify if it’s fact or not, but here’s an exerp:

Shortly before his untimely death, former British Foreign Secretary Robin Cook told the House of Commons that “Al Qaeda” is not really a terrorist group but a database of international mujaheddin and arms smugglers used by the CIA and Saudis to funnel guerrillas, arms, and money into Soviet-occupied Afghanistan.

“The piece” certainly fits in.

*EDIT*
Well that sucked. I listened to the first part and this guy really offers no proof of whatever he says, which makes it less believable. He kinda reminds me of Alex Jones from time to time or any right winger for that matter.
