Achtung, Churchgoers!

Young people who make pledges of virginity begin having sex later and have fewer sexual partners. But oddly they are infected with sexually transmitted diseases (STDs) just as often, a new study found.

The pledgers, not diagnosed or treated, may pack disease longer than other people, the researchers say.

  2. It certainly wreckes Church’s argument that this protects against diseases.

    I would argue that Church is often proxy in teenage abstinance. Although there are some priests trying to persuade some boys not to. :grin:

  3. I think christian youth have the same needs than everyone else but as they can’t educate themselves about risks that go with sexuality they fall prey to such diseases more often.
