Chicago protest

These are some of the most imaginative and funny protests signs I’ve ever seen. They were taken amid a protest against the bailout in downtown Chicago on July 9th 2009.

  1. Where were these people before, when the US government was indebting them with their masive defence spending for all the wars around the world? It’s like you can switch off half of the populations brains everytime you change a government in Washington. And now we have Tea parties and such, while everybody konws, the same people will support anything a republican president does.

Except Ron Paul and people like him, there really isn’t a large base of people in the US, who would be serious in weakening the central government and saving the taxpayers money. God help, if anyone would just advice cutting help to Israel or the Afghan army.

  2. People are calling to cut aid to Israel and other “projects” to stop the steep ascend of dept, but for some reason (won’t discuss it here), the policy makers don’t find it fruitful at this time.

The people are en massing because they’re starting to feel the govt spending spree on their own skin and bones. As long as shit keeps hitting the fan, more and more people will “wake up” (or will be just moon walking, just like with global warming) and that will be the time for people like Ron Paul and other grass roots activists to put their foot in the door. I suspect at least some violence is to be expected to achieve this.

  3. I’ve hear a number yesterday where American aid to Israel amounts to $7000/Israeli/day.

  4. If you look at the situation in the States, the Obama charm is working it’s way and for now there isn’t a chance for any third party chalenge or a meaningfull reform within the republican party.

  5. His popularity is slipping. It’s nowhere near Bush levels but if he keeps up screwing everything up…
